What type of colouring medium do you prefer to use?

Well I would have to favour colouring pencils as it suits my style and I love the softest that colouring pencils tend to bring my work. Pencils have be my favourite medium since I was student at school and have love working with them ever since. I’m  rather picky when it comes to pencils as I only work with good high quality pencil and the one’s I use currently are from a online stationary and they were suggested to me by art teacher and have continued to use them for many years now.  Click on the text below to be taken to the product I use.

Where do you purchase your card blanks from?

I do not purchase any card blanks as for many years now I actually make my own as well  as making all my envelopes too. For me this is far more economical and allows me to create whatever card I want. To create the card blanks and envelopes I use score boards from Crafters Companion, there are many score boards on the market but I feel comfortable with using the boards from Crafter’s Companion. What type of card stock do you prefer to use?

For card blanks it really as to be as least 300gsm as I don’t want my cards bending on the mantelpiece like Bambi, that just wouldn’t do as I’m very particular about my cards looking good and of high quality card.

Coloured card on the other hand is slightly different as I do tend to like using the lovely American card stock as this is wonderful to use with your die cutting machines due to the low chalk content.  Another card manufacturer that’s good is Papermilldirect Online store, this company only makes high quality card in vast array of stunning colours.

For stamping and colouring I tend to use Neenah Solar White and Desert Storm, both are super smooth and great for all mediums. Click on the text below to be taken to the product I use.

What is your favourite card size to make?

Preferably like the American A2 size, it’s just that perfect size that suits so many occasions. From time to time I do use slightly smaller than A2 US card. Square cards are also one of my favourites too.

Which tools would you recommend to other crafters?

Before recommending any product I would like to say that quality as to come first, as this is wonderful hobby we share and its about enjoying what you do, but it’s also false economy to buy cheaper product and having to buy twice because it’s not lasted as long as the slightly higher priced item.
