Happy For You

Hello there, today I’m back with this floral design that was inspired by two captivating stamp sets by the such talented company Altenew. Personally I really love Altenew’s work so much as such understated style and their classy look just makes for perfect card design.

Created A2 US card blank using sheet of A4 card that was cut down using guillotine, using a score board and score tool scored a top folding tent card. Took the beautiful flowers from Altenew Stunning Starflower Stamp set, stamped this flower three times using memento ink pad in these colours, summer sky, teal zeal and nautical blue onto white card and placed into my stamping tool.

Fussy cut out with a pair scissors. Next I stamped the leaves from Altenew Book Engravements Stamp Set, onto white card using these memento colours, pear tart, bamboo leaves. Then I fussy cut the leaves using a pair of scissors. The centre of the flowers where stamped with the same colours as the leaves.

Cut a strip of white card that matches the card blank, applied double sided foam tape to the back just slightly to the left side of the white strip, so to leave gap so I can place the fussy cuts, placed the leaves first and adhered them with double side tape. Added the two flowers inside the strip and the third flower just over the top of the white strip all with double sided foam tape.

Cut a strip of black card and placed into my stamping tool, using this lovely sentiment from Clearly Besotted Mini Calligraphy stamp set, stamped with watermark ink pad and poured over the WOW opaque Bright White embossing powder, heat set with heat tool. To complete added a few delicate sequins from Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins using glue dots to adhere.
